A founder’s seed note

The best people in my life came through someone who knew us both.

A friend saw something in each of us, understood why we might matter to one another, and made the introduction. Some of those meetings changed my work. Others changed my life. I kept wondering why this kind of care is available mostly by luck.

That question became the work you see here. We are at the seed stage, looking for investors who will give a small team the time to build and honestly test this belief.

Read why we are raising

Why I started this company

A thoughtful introduction can change a life. Most people get too few of them.

The people who changed my life did not arrive because I searched a directory or wrote a better profile. They arrived through friends who knew enough about both of us to notice a reason we should meet. The trust was already there before the first conversation began.

Most people cannot depend on having the right friend in the right room at the right time. I believe a private companion can help: one that listens over time, remembers with permission, and notices when two people may genuinely help one another.

Society works better when the right people can find one another. We are trying to make that happen more often, without putting anyone on display.

From belief to product

First, be useful to one person. Then earn the right to connect two.

We are starting with the relationship, not the network. The companion must be worth returning to on its own. Only then can we test one careful matching path and, later, a partner boundary that other organizations can use without gaining access to private people data.

  1. 01

    Companion

A private conversation should help before any introduction happens. People can see what the companion remembers, correct it, restrict it, or ask it to forget.

  2. 02

    Reciprocal matching

When someone wants something specific, the system uses only the part of their context they approve. It looks for mutual fit, asks both sides separately, and is allowed to find nothing.

  3. 03

    Partner infrastructure

If the first lane works, approved partners can contribute bounded opportunities through the Connect API. They never receive a directory of people, a private portrait, or control over who ranks first.

One system, many markets

The industries are different. The relationship work repeats.

Dating, hiring, freelance work, local services, care, coaching, tutoring, housing, travel, communities, and partnerships all repeat some version of discovery, qualification, and introduction. The same relationship layer can carry that work across industries without pretending to replace everything each industry does.

The reusable wedge

  1. 01Clayon

    Understand

Carry a private, correctable understanding of what one person needs now, using only context they control.

  2. 02Clayon

    Qualify

Test purpose, timing, boundaries, and reciprocal fit before either person becomes visible to the other.

  3. 03Shared boundary

    Introduce

Explain one proposal, ask each side separately, and share only what both people approve.

  4. 04Industry owner

    Decide and transact

Inventory, contracts, payments, licensed work, safety accountability, and final decisions stay with the people and systems authorized to own them.

  1. 01

    Relationships and community

    What existing solutions handle today

Profiles, swipes, feeds, event discovery, cold messages, and repeated personal setup.

What the relationship layer can replace or compress

Private purpose intake, reciprocal qualification, and a consented introduction without public inventory.

    What remains with the industry

Personal judgment, community moderation, safety accountability, and the relationship itself.

  2. 02

    Work, recruiting, and collaboration

    What existing solutions handle today

Job boards, recruiter sourcing, application volume, freelance marketplaces, and networking outreach.

What the relationship layer can replace or compress

Repeated career context, cold discovery, first-pass mutual fit, and introduction coordination.

    What remains with the industry

Employer and candidate judgment, assessment, employment law, compensation, and contracts.

  3. 03

    Services, care, coaching, and tutoring

    What existing solutions handle today

Directories, lead marketplaces, repeated intake forms, shortlist calls, and scheduling back-and-forth.

What the relationship layer can replace or compress

Purpose-scoped intake and referrals, reciprocal fit checks, and warm handoffs.

    What remains with the industry

Licensing, safeguarding, professional or clinical judgment, and accountable service delivery.

  4. 04

    Housing, roommates, and travel

    What existing solutions handle today

Listing filters, roommate profiles, repeated preference forms, and messages to strangers.

What the relationship layer can replace or compress

Person-to-person fit discovery, boundary alignment, and staged introductions around a real opportunity.

    What remains with the industry

Listings, availability, identity checks, deposits, insurance, contracts, and housing or travel decisions.

  5. 05

    Organizations and partnerships

    What existing solutions handle today

Lead databases, partner directories, cold outbound, repeated readiness calls, and manual introduction chains.

What the relationship layer can replace or compress

Purpose matching, readiness context, reciprocal qualification, and permissioned introductions.

    What remains with the industry

Procurement, diligence, governance, commercial terms, and accountable approval.

This is a target expansion thesis, not evidence of current adoption, validated demand, displaced incumbents, or captured market share. The proof round begins with one narrow reciprocal lane.

How it can sustain itself

I do not want the business to depend on keeping people searching.

We can charge for a better service, accountable operations, implementation, and authorized API work. We cannot sell access to people or let payment buy a candidate, a proposal, a safety decision, or a relationship.

Individual

Core $0 · Extended tested at $15–$25 per month or $150–$250 per year

A subscription may change response service and availability. It never changes a person’s rights to memory controls, consent, correction, export, or deletion.

Organization

Workspace tested at $500–$1,500 per month · Readiness operations at $3,000–$8,000 per month · Scoped implementation at $5,000–$25,000 one time

Organizations can pay to prepare one clear purpose and run accountable handoffs. They cannot buy a trust badge, candidate access, or a guaranteed result.

Alliance / Connect API

Sandbox free · Connect tested at $1,000–$3,000 per month · Network at $5,000–$15,000 per month

Partners can pay for authorized operations, consent handling, and evidence receipts. They never receive a candidate pool, matching control, or private relationship data.

Our seed round

We are raising $1.8M to earn proof, not to pretend we already have it.

This planning case gives a small senior team about 24 months to build the companion, prove one complete trust loop, and learn whether people want it. At month 15, the evidence tells us whether to continue, narrow the company, or stop.

How this planning case works

$10.2M

Planned pre-money

$12.0M

Planned post-money

This simple case comes before option-pool changes, instrument mechanics, fees, taxes, or other securities. It is a starting point for a conversation, not an appraisal.

Use of funds

Keep the team small. Put the money into the proof.

We begin with three senior builders and add at most two people when the work proves we need them. The rest pays for the infrastructure, research, security, and operating evidence required to make an honest decision.

Senior system thinkers

$1.05M · 58.3%

Three senior builders at the start, with at most two later hires. People remain accountable for product, intelligence, evidence, and trust.

AI, cloud, data, evaluation, FinOps

$240K · 13.3%

Run inference, orchestration, storage, observability, and evaluation with visible cost and quality evidence.

Partner pilots and participant research

$180K · 10.0%

Test one narrow paid lane with real participant support, partner integration, and evidence that the work can be repeated.

AI security, privacy, legal, assurance

$180K · 10.0%

Pay for threat modelling, an independent red team, privacy controls, counsel, contracts, insurance, and incident readiness.

Founder-led GTM and operations

$60K · 3.3%

Founder-led discovery, partner and investor conversations, finance, and only the operating tools we need.

Contingency reserve

$90K · 5.0%

Hold a modest reserve for changes in model cost, security, hiring, integration, legal work, or timing.

What your capital must prove

Before we ask to scale, these things must be true.

The seed round succeeds when it gives us evidence strong enough to make the next decision. A bigger story, a bigger team, or another round is not the milestone.

  1. 01People return because the companion is useful before any network effect exists.
  2. 02Its private understanding can be inspected, corrected, restricted, and forgotten by its owner.
  3. 03One reciprocal lane works from private intention to consented introduction, including honest no-match results.
  4. 04Trust controls operate under real conditions, with AI-security evidence and a measured cost to serve.
  5. 05A paying partner can use a repeatable Connect API without receiving private relationship data.

Where we are today

We have construction evidence. We have not yet earned the market.

Current source, specifications, simulations, and construction previews make the proposed system inspectable. They do not prove that people will stay, pay, or form useful connections. Those are the questions this seed round exists to answer.

  • Customer revenue
  • Cohort retention
  • Paid pilots
  • Reciprocal outcomes
  • Production matching scale

The world around the idea

The need is real. We still have to prove that our answer works.

People already spend heavily to find dates, jobs, collaborators, services, and communities. Much of that search still feels lonely and wasteful. The numbers show a large need and an established business category. They do not show that we have demand or traction.
